There are a lot of myths and misconceptions about hypnosis. Here are the facts!

No! Your mind is in a state of being very alert and aware while your body is very relaxed. |
|
No! You are always in control of your mind. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You are the one that allows yourself to be guided into this very relaxed state. You can choose to accept or reject any suggestions at any time. |

No! If the hypnotist left the room, you would either fall asleep or open your eyes feeling alert. Since you allow yourself to be guided into hypnosis, you also allow yourself to readily come out of hypnosis. |

No! You have to be totally in control of your mind. You also must be able to focus and concentrate on the suggestions given in order to be hypnotized. |
|
No! It is a safe, natural state of mind that we all experience naturally everyday, similar to daydreaming. |
|
No! You always have a choice about what to reveal or not and whether or not to be truthful or tell a lie. You are in control. |

My fees are $150 for the initial session which is up to two hours and $100 for every session afterward that is up to an hour. HST is included. You can pay by cash, debit or Visa. If you have private insurance or group insurance through your work, check to see if a Social Worker is covered, the dollar limit of the coverage and whether you need a doctor’s referral. If your issue is related to a Motor Vehicle Accident, your insurance company may pay for services of a Registered Social Worker. |
